CONDITIONS

-
Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
-
The remaining balance is due 10 days before the scheduled setup date.
-
The deposit is generally non-refundable, subject to any cancellation or refund provisions agreed in writing.
2. Cancellation
-
Cancellations must be made in writing.
-
The 30% deposit is generally non-refundable if the booking is cancelled by the client.
-
If a booking is cancelled within 10 days of the scheduled setup date, the full outstanding balance may remain payable.
-
Any refund or credit outside these terms will be considered at the discretion of Big Marquee.
3. Site Requirements
-
The ground must be reasonably level, stable and suitable for marquee installation.
-
We require sufficient space around the marquee for installation, equipment and safe access.
-
The client must advise us of any underground services, pipes, electrical cables, irrigation systems, septic systems or other infrastructure located in or near the installation area.
-
As marquee structures may require pegs to be driven into the ground, all underground services must be clearly marked on site before our team arrives.
-
Alternatively, the client may provide a detailed site plan clearly showing the location and depth of underground services.
-
Big Marquee is not responsible for damage to underground services that have not been disclosed or clearly marked prior to installation.
4. Truck & Site Access
-
Suitable truck access to the installation site is required for delivery and collection.
-
The client is responsible for ensuring that gates, driveways and access areas are available and unlocked at the agreed delivery time.
-
If access is restricted, difficult or unsuitable for our vehicles or equipment, additional labour, equipment or delivery charges may apply.
-
If suitable access cannot be provided, we reserve the right to alter the delivery or installation arrangements.
5. Setup & Pack-Down
-
Setup and pack-down dates will be arranged with the client prior to the event.
-
All furniture, decorations, personal belongings and other items that may interfere with installation must be removed from the work area before our team arrives.
-
Pack-down times are subject to our schedule and may occur on the agreed collection date rather than immediately after the event.
6. Weather Conditions
-
Marquees are designed to provide shelter from normal weather conditions but are not guaranteed to withstand all extreme weather events.
-
In the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions, Big Marquee reserves the right to postpone, modify or cancel installation if we consider the conditions unsafe.
-
If extreme weather develops during an event, the client is responsible for following any safety instructions provided by Big Marquee.
7. Damage & Cleaning
-
The client is responsible for the marquee, furniture, flooring, lighting and other hired equipment from the time of installation until collection.
-
The client may be charged for any damage, loss, excessive cleaning or missing equipment resulting from misuse, negligence or unauthorised alterations.
-
No fixtures, decorations, nails, screws, staples, tape or other attachments may be applied to the marquee or hired equipment without prior approval.
-
Candles, open flames, fireworks or other items that may damage the marquee or equipment must not be used without prior written approval.
8. Furniture & Equipment
-
All hired furniture and equipment must remain within the designated event area.
-
The client is responsible for ensuring that hired items are returned in the same condition in which they were supplied, allowing for reasonable wear and tear.
9. Site Conditions
-
The client is responsible for notifying Big Marquee of any known site conditions that may affect installation, including steep or uneven ground, rocky ground, underground services, soft ground, restricted access or environmental hazards.
-
Additional charges may apply if specialised equipment, additional labour or alternative installation methods are required due to site conditions.
-
Big Marquee reserves the right to refuse installation if the site is considered unsafe or unsuitable.
10. Changes to Booking
-
Changes to marquee size, location, furniture, flooring or other inclusions must be requested as early as possible.
-
Changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.
-
We cannot guarantee that changes requested close to the event date can be accommodated.
12. Safety
-
Big Marquee prioritises the safety of our staff, contractors, clients and guests.
-
Our team may refuse or stop installation if they consider the site or conditions unsafe.
-
Only Big Marquee staff or authorised contractors may install, alter or dismantle the marquee structure.
13. Acceptance of Terms
-
By paying the deposit, the client confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
-
These Terms & Conditions form part of the hire agreement between Big Marquee and the client.
-
Any variation to these terms must be agreed in writing by Big Marquee.
